Private Cathedral, Alcazar and the Jewish Quarter Walking Tour Today's walking tour takes you to three highlights of Seville. Your first stop is the Seville Cathedral, the world's largest Gothic church. Construction began in the 15th century on the site of a former mosque. Walk up La Giralda, the cathedral's bell tower. It was first built in the 12th century as the original mosque's minaret, and is a masterpiece of Almohad architecture. The belfry was added in 1568, making La Giralda the perfect fusion of Moorish and Renaissance architecture. Continue to the Royal Alcázar, whose oldest section was constructed in the 10th century as the palace of Seville's Muslim governor, with major renovations made during the Middle Ages. It consists of a group of palatial buildings and extensive gardens. It combines Mudéjar architecture with Gothic, Renaissance and Romanesque design elements. Your tour ends with a short walking tour of Santa Cruz, Seville's medieval Jewish quarter. Much of the city's oldest buildings and most charming alleyways are found in Santa Cruz.

This tour is provided on a reserved basis prior to departure. Passengers must contact the local sightseeing company upon arrival to reconfirm their tour.
